One of my favorite pre-wedding activities is learning about all the details of the wedding – from the dress to the special guests. I always talk to my brides about their timelines. I will ask questions about the time of the ceremony, time of dinner, pre-ceremony activities. I even offer to help develop and manage the timeline. It is important to have a timeline to guide the day to ensure all the details and imagaes are captured of the special day.
I always suggest a timeline no matter the size and type of wedding. Timelines help take the stress out of making sure you get all the images you want from your day. Below is a sample timeline. When you book with GCiccone Photography, we will plan out your specific timeline.
I also always ask about specific photographs a bride would like to have from the wedding. For example, is there a special relative that we need to photograph you with, or a long-time friend. Having a checklist can help make sure that you don’t forget any special images that you would like to have years down the road. That is also where I can help take away the stress and worry. I’ll manage that checklist for you. When we have our pre-wedding consultation, I’ll ask about all the details and family members attending. This way I can learn what you would like me to capture. To me, it is important that we have a checklist so that you don’t look back on your day and say “I wish I had a photo of xxxx”.
Here are some ideas to get you started.
- Wedding dress details
- Getting ready (bride and groom)
- Bouquet and any special details
- Groom and groomsmen details (socks, cufflinks, etc)
- Special details of the venue
- Bride and Groom with parents, grandparents, siblings
- Shots with friends
- Wedding cake
- First dance
