Meet GCiccone’s Photographer: Gretchen

Hi There! I’m Gretchen Ciccone, owner and photographer of GCiccone Photography. I specialize in small, intimate weddings and Forever Young sessions. I’m excited to launch the Forever Young sessions. They are all about creating portraits of our vintaged loved ones.

Fun Facts!

It’s been awhile since I have introduced myself so today I’m sharing a few fun facts!

I have a wonderful younger sister. We didn’t always get along but I don’t know what I would do with her! She puts up with a long from her bossy big sister! She has always been a subject of my photography (whether she liked it or not ha!).

I have had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember. I love taking photos. I believe photos are a great way to capture a moment in time. When you look back at photos, it will instantly transport you back to that moment in time.

This is one of my first portraits of my sister (that I could find)! It’s from 1989!! Look at that awesome tape player!!! 🙂

I love flamingos! I think they are beautiful.

In March of 2020, I decided to start a photography business and I knew I needed to incorporate a flamingo. I asked my sister, who is a graphic designer, to create my logo. She did a fantastic job and really helped bring my logo idea to life.

Flamingos symbolize achievement, balance, charm, creativity, focus, happiness, power, simplicity, strength, and fun! I bring all of these elements to my photography.

I also have many hobbies that I enjoy when I’m not capturing special moments.

  • I love to be on the water during the warm months, you’ll find me out on my kayak. I also sometimes bring my camera along!!
  • Another way I like to get out and clear my head is with a hike. I enjoy getting out into nature, and taking in the fresh air. I also take my furry buddy, Eli on hiking trips. He’s a great hiking partner, he always remembers where we put the car!
  • I’m also a flutist. I have been playing since I was in the 4th grade. Today, I play with the West Hills Symphonic Band.

Moments will pass but memories will last a lifetime
